Förlikning: byggvaruhus: DO har träffat en förlikning på 30.000 kronor med ett byggvaruhus som inte gav en praktikplats till en muslimsk man.

Bakgrund

En muslimsk man hade gått en truckförarutbildning och blev föreslagen en praktikplats på ett byggvaruhus. En representant för byggvaruhuset träffade mannen innan slutligt beslut togs om praktikplatsen. Efter mötet uppfattade mannen det som att han skulle få praktikplatsen. När mannen skulle lämna byggvaruhuset regnade det kraftigt.  Mannen väntade på att regnet skulle sluta och insåg att han inte skulle hinna hem till sin traditionella bönestund. Han beslöt då att förrätta sin bön utanför utgångskassorna i byggvaruhuset.

En representant för byggvaruhuset ringde upp mannens handläggare,  på det företag som anlitades av Jobbtorget, och meddelade att han inte fick praktikplatsen. I samtalet nämndes att mannen bett vid utgångskassorna.  Mannen uppfattade det som att han inte fick praktikplatsen eftersom han bett. Mannen anmälde byggföretaget till Diskrimineringsombudsmannen, DO, för religiös diskriminering, DO har nu uppnått en förlikning med byggvaruhuset som ska betala 30 000 kronor i ersättning till mannen. Karen Jespersen: En ny underklasse

Det drejer sig om problemer med b√łrn og unges asociale opf√łrsel og problemer med integrationen, og det giver i sidste ende en risiko for, at vi f√•r en ny underklasse,” siger Karen Jespersen til Altinget.dk p√• dagen, da hun forlader sin post som velf√¶rdsminister efter kun 16 m√•neder.

“P√• nogle m√•der har man nogle andre muligheder som folketingsmedlem end som minister, fordi man ikke er bundet af administrative opgaver og drift,” siger hun og uddyber om sin kommende funktion:”Jeg ser det i h√łj grad som min rolle at v√¶re et bindeled mellem befolkningen og det politiske liv.” ¬†Altinget:¬†Karen J. springer ud fra elfenbenst√•rnet

Det velmenende individ, og den tunge dogmatik

Man kan kun √łnske Ahmed Marcouch held og lykke med dette initiativ til bedring af forholdet mellem muslimer og homoseksuelle i Holland, men p√• forh√•nd m√• man g√łre sig helt klart hvilken massiv ortodoksi han er oppe imod. Den “painful” tilgang han omtaler vil kun i bedste fald give en lettelse i den daglige sameksistens, og vil kunne forsvinde som dug for solen i fremtiden, hvis legitimeringen af vold mod og drab p√• b√łsser ikke bliver behandlet ved ondets rod – 1300 √•rs juridisk konsensus med udspring i uforanderlige, ‘hellige’ tekster. Og dette er ikke noget der s√•dan kan reformeres p√• lokalt plan, hvis overhovedet. Det er ikke for at v√¶re negativ over for dette initiativ, men medierne sv√¶lger i √łnsket√¶nkning og solstr√•lehistorier om dette emne, og vores opgave m√• v√¶re at tr√¶kke virkeligheden frem i lyset, hvor “painful” den end er.

Ahmed Marcouch, the chairman of the Slotervaart borough council in Amsterdam, has chosen the confrontational approach to make his ethnic minority neighbourhood more tolerant towards homosexuals. […]

On Wednesday he presented a memorandum with measures to make the neighbourhood more gay-friendly. Marcouch wants to see a gay bar opened, he wants to educate primary school children and organise a football tournament between Moroccan and gay teams. “The freedom of gay people is my freedom and my freedom is the freedom of gay people,” the prominent local politician said at the presentation of his proposals.[…]

Marcouch now wants to take the shock treatment approach to this intolerance. Marcouch, a Muslim who was born in Morocco himself, has already made an appearance at the ‘Pink Eid Al-Fitr’, a gay celebration of the Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, and he has debated with religious leaders who say that Islam and homosexuality can’t co-exist. And now he wants to take it one step further: “We’re going to take the confrontational approach and it will be painful at times.”[…] Amsterdam borough chairman wants gays and Muslims to get along

Uanstændigt!

Den 2 radio er en af mine sm√• hemmelige laster, og hvad ser jeg nu? Hvad skal der nu blive af Egon Clausen, Georg Metz, Ove Weiss, Frederik Dessau, Braad Thomsen, Finn Slumstrup, Birigtte Rahbek,¬†Karsten Pharao¬†og alle andre ordentlige mennesker fra f√łr verden gik af lave og P1 blev et livsstilsmagasin med et for lavt lixtal? “Tyrkiske, muslimske hackers” skelner ikke mellem f√•r og bukke. Havde de gjort det, ville de ¬†have mine f√•r p√• ¬†Den 2 Radio.dk, (hvis gode sider vi har gjort rede for.)

Journalisten og den “politiske aktivist”, DN-medarbejder, Hamas- og Hizbollah-st√łtte, Andreas Malm, der netop har skrevet bogen¬†“Hatet mot muslimer”, skriver i socialdemokratiske Aftonbladet 1730 ord (!) til sit forsvar, og man orker jo n√¶ppe at l√¶se ¬†det, endsige deltage i det svenske multi-sk√¶nderi. For eksempel ¬†“Gunnar Heinsohn, med ¬†honom och hans likasinnade upplever v√§rlden en h√§mndlysten √•terkomst f√∂r de id√©er som florerade f√∂re 1945.” Men s√• skriver han:

Vi f√•r bland annat veta att Dansk Folkeparti varken gjort sig skyldigt till islamofobi eller rasism, att ‚ÄĚv√§nstern st√§llt sig i islamismens tj√§nst‚ÄĚ och, som i f√∂rbig√•ende, att islamistisk terrorism beror p√• att den muslimska v√§rlden nu genomg√•r ‚ÄĚen demografisk explosion‚ÄĚ.

Alts√•, den “demografiske explosion” er en slags kvasi-racistisk fobi, der kun findes i hovedet p√• ondsindede h√łjreorienterede? Egypten h√•ber at kunne stabilisere befolkningen p√• 100 mio., men har ingen anelse om hvordan, og:

Mens Sverige sk√¶ndes videre om hvem der er st√łrst idioter, kv√¶rner m√łllen. H√łjre og venstre gokker hinanden i hovedet og parlamenterer l√łs, mens ¬†politikerne siger s√• lidt som muligt, s√¶rligt ¬†Mona Sahlin, der er ved at g√• helt bag af dansen. Så har muslimhatet lättvindigt fått politisk legimitet även i Sverige. I Danmark har hatet det redan. I dag finns en bred politisk konsensus kring en invandrarkritisk politik. Så var det inte när Anders Fogh Rasmussens bildade regering för åtta år sedan. The Left’s Totalitarian List

It is one of the ironies of modern liberalism that diversity should so often come to mean uniformity, and tolerance so often to mean intolerance: that is to say, think and act like me, or else.

There was a good example of this last week in an article in the venerable British Sunday newspaper, The Observer, by Aaron Hicklin, an American journalist of whom I had previously not heard. He is the editor of a magazine for homosexuals called Out, and his article consisted largely of a justification for his magazine having revealed that the actress Jodie Foster is a lesbian, something that previously she had neither affirmed or denied, preferring, apparently, to preserve her privacy.

I print what he wrote in extenso, so that you get the flavour of the argument (it is significant that the argument has flavour, not logic):

Until I arrived at Out magazine three years ago, I never saw myself as the kind of editor who would stoop to outing celebrities. It seemed so 1990s, so bullying and judgmental, so very Peter Tatchell [a militant British homsexual] to be naming and shaming. But then we launched the Power 50, a league table of America’s most powerful gays and lesbians and a few glaring omissions leapt out. How could such a list be complete without Hollywood powerhouse Jodie Foster? There was just one problem. She had never publicly acknowledged her sexuality… She was a member of a glass closet who was not willing to take the final step. So we took it for her.

Am I alone in finding this deeply repellent in both its triviality and its nastiness? It is hardly surprising that the author decided to obtrude outrageously on Miss Foster’s privacy, since his initial objection to doing so appeared to be more a matter of fashion (not even of true aesthetics) than of moral principle. Would anyone say of a Ku-Klux-Klan lynching that it was so 1920s, or of vicious anti-semitism that it was so 1930s? Ascribing a decade to a form of behaviour is not a proper way to assess its moral worth.

What was the moral reasoning that led the author to change his mind? He decided, unilaterally, to create a list; he decided that the list would be less accurate if he failed to include details of the private life of another person, which she had indicated by her discretion that she did not want to be made public; and so (one can hardly put it ‚Äėtherefore‚Äô) he decided to make it public. This is not so much moral reasoning, as an almost psychopathic lack of moral reasoning.

Of course, this is not to deny that the ‚Äėreasoning‚Äô has a certain, deeply totalitarian worldview behind it. That worldview is the following: that human life, in order to become whole and completely without hypocrisy, should be an open book, that there should be no distinction between the public sphere and the private. The nearest analogy I can think of is the cult of little Pavlik Morozov in the Soviet Union, who underwent Stalinist canonisation for having betrayed his parents to the authorities for being ‚Äėkulaks.‚Äô This was the version of ‚Äėtelling the truth‚Äô that the Soviet authorities tried to instil in children until very late in the Soviet Union‚Äôs day; it is the version of the denouncer, the informer, the snitch. It is also infinitely horrible, for it destroys, as it is intended to destroy, all human trust, to the benefit of the propagation of an ideology.

The other rather unpleasant aspect of the passage I have quoted is its implicit glorification and worship of power in itself, provided only that it is held by people with whom we have something in common of which we approve and with which we identify. There is nothing in the passage to indicate that power in itself is not in fact a good, and that a lot of political philosophy consists of thinking of ways to limit power, whoever holds it. Nor is there any indication that what the power is used for is of any interest to him. Reading the passage I have quoted, you might have thought that power ennobled, and that absolute power ennobled absolutely.

The author is not alone in his power-worship, however. I think (though I cannot prove) that power struggles in institutions have become both more time-consuming and more vicious since I first ever became aware of them. I suppose that this increased viciousness might be a mere figment of my perception as I grow older; but I am certainly not alone in such a perception.

If, on the other hand, it is true that such power struggles (which have always taken place, of course) are now more ruthless than they were, one might ask why this should be?

The answer, is that more people believe that power is an important goal, even the most important goal of all, and indeed that life is meaningless, as well as precarious, without it; and therefore more individuals, more professions and more groups contend for it.

At first sight this might seem like a good thing: it appears to democratise power. In the widened struggle for power, some of the formerly powerless will achieve at least a measure of power which they never had before.

At the same time, however, it delegitimates power. Where once power was allied to some higher social purpose, even if sometimes self-servingly and hypocritically, it is now divorced from any such purpose: it is sought for itself, merely to assuage the amour propre. No longer is it seen as the concomitant of some other achievement, but a sort of right.

It is a right of a peculiar sort, however, for there is not an infinite supply of the good of which the right is supposed to guarantee access. You might as well tell everyone that he has an inalienable right to a Vermeer, and let him fight it out with everyone else in the art galleries of the world.

Lists of the 50 most powerful a, b, c, d, e, or f, are therefore a sign of deterioration in our political culture. Whatever happened to the idea that power was to be mistrusted, and if possible restrained, rather than bowed down to and worshipped as if it were a golden calf?   Frontpage

Gutmenschen anser tilvandrede muslimer for gutmenschen ogs√•. Politisk Korrekte venstreorienterede og radikale (partibogstav B) synes stadig indvandrere, asylans√łgere, og flygtninge er ydmyge og venligheden selv. Det er noget af en dobbelt-alliance vi nationalpatriotiske (- selv det m√• man d√•rligt nok heller ikke v√¶re, da det er et fy-ord) st√•r over for. I snart 25 √•r har man skullet st√• model for at v√¶re racist, eller nationalromantiker hvis man havde en anden mening end den Politisk Korrekte skabelon. Det er ikke sikkert muslimer betragter gutmenschen son gutmenschen, men vel snarere som deres nyttige idioter som hj√¶lper med at fremme islam, uden… Read more »

Janne 18:22 Jeg er enig med dig . For jeg tror faktisk ikke ret mange politikere, hverken herhjemme eller i EU, har gjort sig den anstregelse at s√¶tte sig ind i de islamiske tekster. Een af de kendte undtagelser er Karen Jespersen. Og meget betegnende er det da ogs√• hende der har talt om konsekvenserne af disse tekster, bl.a. i forbindelse med det islamiske syn p√• kvinder og Vantro. For de der har sat sig ind i teksterne er nemlig ikke i tvivl om f.eks. islams opfattelse af hunk√łnnet – selvom muslimer af og til fors√łger at binde os en… Read more »

steen Ja, det er en fin mulighed. :o) M.h.t. til nogle rettroendes forargelse over at en kvinde vises uden den religi√łse tild√¶kkende og ensrettende uniform, s√• bliver verden jo meget dejlig lille og overskuelig for dem i og med forargelsen over den manglende tild√¶kning af en kvinde og de slipper for at se p√• og omtale den forbrydelse hun har beg√•et. De virker ubegavede og indskr√¶nkede, hvis I sp√łrger mig. Jeg kan bare ikke helt gennemskue om de bevidst agerer ubegavede eller de bare j√¶vnt hen er ubegavede. Gad vide hvad mennesker som Malm mener om det uhyggelig syn p√• ikke-troende og anderledes troende der findes i koranen og hvordan mennesker der ikke underkaster sig koranens dogmer kaldes for vantro og de ting der er v√¶rre og trues med forf√¶rdelige straffe. SF og Socialdemokraterne bliver ogs√• n√łdt til at kigge i koranen f√łr jeg kan tage partierne alvorligt. De skal argumentere for hvorfor de samarbejder med imamer og ligesindede politisk uden √•bent at tage stilling til det der st√•r i koranen.
