I recently re-read the book The Red Thread: A Search for Ideological Drivers Inside the Anti-Trump Conspiracy by Diana West, published in 2019.[1] I have had the pleasure of meeting the author several times.
The legal and media war against Donald Trump personally has been ongoing since he publicly launched his candidacy to become US president in 2015. Nearly a decade of attempted character assassination culminated in a physical assassination attempt at a campaign rally on July 13, 2024. Trump was shot in the ear and was only inches away from being killed. One rally attendee was killed during the attack.
There are legitimate things to criticize Trump for. He arguably has certain narcissistic personality traits. Yet these are widespread traits among politicians, journalists and others. It is by no means unique to him.
As a strong critic of mRNA-based so-called corona vaccines, which are very dangerous and not vaccines at all, I am critical of absolutely all politicians regardless of party who supported the vaccination campaign. Unfortunately, this also includes Trump.
Operation Warp Speed to fast-track corona vaccines was supported by the US government in 2020, while Donald Trump was in the White House. There are also videos from 2021 of him being booed by some of his own supporters for saying they should take coronavirus vaccines.[2]
Yet almost all politicians from almost all established parties across the Western world promoted the so-called coronavirus vaccines. Trump was more restrained than many Western politicians were at the time. Both the British and Australian governments were more aggressive in pushing this experimental gene therapy on their populations. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Canada and Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern in New Zealand were truly awful by comparison in their use of coercive measures.
On the other hand, in 2020, President Trump wanted the US to stop funding the World Health Organization (WHO) and eventually withdraw from the organization.[3] This decision was immediately reversed by Joe Bidenâs administration in January 2021.[4]
Personally, I believe that the World Health Organization is a thoroughly corrupt organization that all countries should withdraw from. Perhaps a new Trump presidency will complete this task.
In 2024, Trump is also allied with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. under the slogan Make America Healthy Again. Could this contribute to a more critical attitude towards large pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer and the damage they inflict on the population?
The massive and long-standing hate campaign against Trump does not always appear to be rationally justified. The author Diana West shows that some of this is due to individuals and groups with deep ideological and political roots in Marxism and the radical Left.
Why did many high-ranking officials in Washington go on a rampage to thwart Trumpâs presidency? There was nothing normal about the 2016 presidential election, when US officials turned the federal governmentâs surveillance powers â designed to stop terrorist attacks â against the Republican presidential team.
These were ruthless tactics recognizable from a Soviet police state. Diana West describes anti-Trump actors such as James Comey, Christopher Steele or John Brennan, as well as the many others in the Washington swamp associated with the Obama administration or the Clintons.
Perhaps the most absurd part of the anti-Trump campaign was Russia Collusion, the idea that Donald Trump was some kind of Russian agent, and that Russia âstoleâ the 2016 US presidential election from Hillary Clinton. After years of investigation, there is still no shred of evidence of this. Russia Collusion will go down as one of the most absurd conspiracy theories in history. Yet mass media across the Western world took the idea seriously.
During the election campaign between President Trump and the Democrat nominee Joe Biden in October 2020, the New York Post published an article claiming that a laptop with a lot of compromising material belonged to Bidenâs son Hunter Biden.[5]
More than 50 former U.S. intelligence officials then signed a letter stating that this was Russian disinformation.[6] Among those claiming this were five former CIA chiefs: Mike Hayden, Leon Panetta, John Brennan, Michael Morell and John McLaughlin.
It has since been proven that Hunter Bidenâs laptop was real.[7] Dozens of US intelligence officials demonstrably lied to the world to support the candidacy of Joe Biden and the Democratic Party in the run-up to an election. So far, their lies have had no personal consequences for them.[8]
Itâs deeply disturbing when the security services support one party. This is the kind of thing one associates with Communist states, and it makes the USA look like a banana republic.
In her book American Betrayal, Diana West has described how Marxist infiltration of the USA and the Western world has been going on for generations, since Lenin and Stalin.[9]
Personally, I have often wondered whether Marxism was really defeated after the end of the Cold War. On the contrary, it seems that Marxism mutated and moved westwards. Western media and institutions are now promoting radical left-wing ideas, whether you want to call it cultural Marxism, âwokeâ or something else.
This must be confusing for people in the eastern half of Europe who have experienced Communist rule. Poles, Czechs, Hungarians, Romanians and others may have a historical distrust of Russians. However, the most dangerous and subversive ideas that want to break down their culture, family structure and national identity are now coming from the West, from the USA and the EU. They are not coming from Russia.
Countries such as the UK conduct mass arrests of thought criminals. Western children are now taught at school that there are many genders and that you can choose your own gender. These ideas are so far removed from reality that they were not promoted even in the Soviet Union under Stalin, or in Communist China during Maoâs cultural revolution.
We are experiencing a kind of Western cultural revolution supported by globalists and left-wing media. Traditional culture is being dissolved, at the same time as the nation is being dissolved through mass immigration. Donald Trump is hated because he is seen as an opponent of this.
Some people have become rich after entering politics. This is a sign of corruption. The billionaire Trump was already rich and famous. He did not make more money by entering politics. On the contrary, he may have lost money by doing so. He has been subjected to years of legal warfare and has almost been assassinated. The fact that heâs running for office again, despite all this, can hardly be due to the perks.
Trumpâs biggest advantage is that he is a businessman from New York. Before 2015, he had never been part of the political machine in Washington. He was a genuine outsider. This was part of the reason why so many people voted for him. It is also one of his vulnerabilities.
As a businessman, he was used to the fact that when he hired people, they would help him realize his vision for the company. However, the rules of the game in politics are very different, something he did not always understand.
Unfortunately, this contributed to Trumpâs appointing a number of individuals during his first term as president who directly undermined him and stabbed him in the back. Trump himself admitted in his interview with the popular podcaster Joe Rogan in October 2024 that he had hired some disloyal people.[10]
If Donald Trump returns for a second term as President of the United States, he will have to do a better job than last time of picking his aides. The swamp is big and full of alligators. Draining it is not a one-man job, no matter how tough you are.

Antageligvis ville de fleste ledende danske politikere have godt af et kursus i det hvide hus (efter 20. januar 2025) om “How to dismantle the deep State or end in deep Shit”.
